What to Expect
Klyarov Tailoring is an appointment-only studio. A fitting at Klyarov Tailoring is personal, straightforward, and focused on getting the best possible fit for you and your garment.
Before Your Appointment
Please bring the garment you would like altered and, when relevant, the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with it. For dresses, formalwear, and bridal gowns, the right shoes are especially important when determining the final length. If you are bringing new pants or jeans to be shortened, we recommend washing and drying them first according to the care instructions. This helps account for any possible shrinkage before the final hem is marked.
During Your Fitting
We’ll look at the garment together, discuss how you would like it to fit, and determine which alterations will create the best result. Each garment is evaluated individually, taking into account the fabric, construction, proportions, and original design. You will receive your alteration price before any work begins.
Turnaround Time
Simple alterations, such as a basic pants hem, can often be completed the same day or next day, depending on availability. Our standard turnaround time for most alterations is approximately one week. Bridal alterations typically require 2–3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the gown and the alterations needed.
